Mary Baumgartner

Mary is Vice President for Communications and Public Affairs at Bowdoin College, where she leads institutional communications and public affairs strategy. Before that, she was Partner and Chief Strategy Officer at GarrandPartners, delivering insight-driven marketing strategies for national and local clients, and spent 15 years in senior marketing leadership roles including Vice President of HBO Interactive, where she oversaw the transformation of HBO.com into a marketing powerhouse and won an Emmy and two Webby Awards for interactive programming. Mary is a well-known marketing and strategy executive.

Few moderators have led across as many disciplines as Mary has, and nineteen years in, she’s still using that range to push her members to lead across their own organizations rather than staying in one lane.
