The Asking for Help Mantra?

After several intense days of Peer Coaching Calls, 1:1 coaching sessions, Job Search Council calls for those out of work, and monthly Virtual Council Calls, this asking for help mantra came to me as I woke up this morning.

I find poetry, including the playful poem below, is best when read aloud. So, join me in chanting the asking for help mantra.

The asking for help mantra

You can ask for help when you’re happy. You can ask for help when you’re sad.

You can ask for help when you’ve been promoted. You can ask for help when you’ve been sacked.

You can ask for help with a new job. You can ask for help with a 10-year act.

You can ask for help with a good boss. You can ask for help with a sad sack.

You can ask for help when you know your question. You can ask for help when a question you lack.

There are millions of reasons to ask for help.

You can ask even when you are blocked to your blind spots and retract the question you never had.

And, you can even, even be glad to ask for help in asking for help.

For it is always a good day to ask.
